Brittany and Greg are living in Okinawa, Japan. They have been married for five years. Atticus is their dog and he is the sweetest thing! Sadly, Atticus could not make the trip to Okinawa. He stayed in mid-Michigan and is getting "fattened" up by his other human grandmother. They have two children: Spencer Anne and Archer. Mrs. G. has visited them on the island three times. Okinawa is a safe, beautiful country with lots of beaches and mountains. It's hot!!! The food is delicious!
This is Mrs. G. with her husband, Joe and Jacqueline. Joe is much taller than Mrs. G. His joke is that she is 4'14"!!! This is actually a bit of an exaggeration because she's really only 5'1" tall. Joe and Mrs. G. live in Mt. Pleasant in a house on the Chippewa River. It's been a new adventure for them from living in Vestaburg, but it was a healthy change and has worked well for them. Mr. G works for Fair Salvage Company in Clare.
The first Gostomski Marine!!! Gregory Joseph Gostomski is the first person in the Gostomski family (that Mrs. G knows of) to join the military. Gregory has always been full of energy -- more than Mrs. G can even tell you! He was a thrill to watch on the football field and then later, while at NMU, it was rugby -- a sport that Mrs. G. didn't enjoy all that much. She prefers a few more rules! Gregory chose to join the Marines in the delayed entry program. So, he was shipped off on January 14, 2013. It was three months of two different contacts from him. He is the happiest and best he's ever been, but... The but is that he is really missed! Gregory is her only child that Mrs. G taught while at Vestaburg -- not sure if that was fortunate or unfortunate to spend two years together in developmental kindergarten and preschool. He's a wonderful young man -- a man that was born to serve the country well. Gregory is married to Brittany (an amazing daughter-in-law). They are expecting their first child (Mrs. G's first grandchild) in October. They live in Okinawa, Japan. With Greg in this picture is his sister, Jacqueline.
Jacqueline is a tremendous daughter. Mrs. G feels so fortunate to have her in her life. Jacqueline followed in her older brother's footsteps and joined the United States Marine Corps after attending NMU for two years. She is one of those people who is pleasant to look at, but also pleasant to be around. She is kind-hearted and loving. Jacqueline is an athlete through and through. Her best sport was volleyball, but her favorite sport was softball. Basketball was a very strong sport for her as well. She had been Mrs. G's running partner prior to joining the Marines. It was an adjustment for Mrs. G. when she left. Mrs. G misses Jacqueline dearly. She looks forward to continuing to see the lady Jacqueline will become. She is one of those people that will be successful at whatever she chooses in life. Mrs. G loves her to death and is so happy to have Jacqueline as her daughter. Jacqueline was is married to Matt and lives with him and their dog, Lily, in North Carolina at Camp Lejeune.
Jacqueline is currently in schooling to become a sergeant. She is gifted in leadership and is a tremendous worker.

Mrs. G's baby! Her gift from God. Kristian Leonard Gostomski is a joy! You could not ask for a kinder, gentler, sweeter, more loving person to be in your life than Kristian. Mrs. G. chalks it up to him being the baby and probably raising himself! He is the one that Mrs. G left at school and forgot where he was - a few times! He's the one that Mrs. G let go to bed dirty and said, "Oh, we will worry about it tomorrow!" He's the one that we have left alone and by leaving him alone, he has excelled. Kristian is a United States Marine living at Camp Lejeune, North Carolina with his wife, Ashley.
Mrs. G's prediction is that Kristian is going to become a world class chef and blow everyone away on Master Chef or Hell's Kitchen some day. LOL! Kristian is considering teaching or nursing when he leaves the Marines.

This is Ashley and Kristian on their wedding day in Frankfort, Michigan. They were married on the beach at Point Betsie Lighthouse. They met in high school at Sacred Heart Academy. Mrs. G. is very proud of Ashley for having stayed in North Carolina working while Kristian was in Okinawa, Japan.
From left to right: Sammy (Mrs. G's dearly missed, friend), Diesel and Luke; her two Goldens and her Westie. The dogs all keep Mrs. G company as she tries to fill her days since the kids are getting older. Luke and Diesel are spending quite a bit of time resting because being a dog is really hard work. Both dogs have gained quite a bit of weight since this picture was taken -- even though they get daily three-plus mile walks.
